Oregon City junior Greg Skipper smashed the state’s high school record for the hammer on Monday with a toss that traveled 216 feet, 8 inches at the Concordia Throws Center.
That’s a new state record for an event seldom contested in Oregon. Skipper, though, views the hammer as his best event and the one most likely to get him recruiting attention. “I throw it every day,” he said. “That’s my main event.” Continue reading here.
