Centralia Hammer Meet (WA) Results

Another week and another wet meet in the Centralia hammer series in Washington state. This time there were some fresh faces as Elisa Grandemange (Kamiakin, Kennewick, WA) came over to the west side of the mountains to win in an upset over state leader Hannah Frost (Mary M Knight, Elma, WA). Grandemange added five feet to her personal best to secure the win. She also produced her first throw over 160 feet and took over the state lead from Frost. Frost also had a solid competition to place second.

Brock Eager (Tahoma, Covington, WA) once again won the boy’s competition with a consistent mark, although Brayden Eiland (Centralia, WA) had a great personal best for second place. However Eager’s biggest result came with the heavier 16-pound hammer. There he threw 190’11” to not only improve his personal best, but also produce the best mark in the nation with that implement so far this year.
