Rhode Island Girls Division Championships Results

After slowly closing the gap on the national lead this month, Gianna Rao (Ponaganset, North Scituate, RI) finally climbed to the top at the Rhode Island Girls Division Championships on Saturday. Rao added more than a foot to her personal best and also broke 60 feet for the first time en route to the win. In fact, her winning toss was more than ten feet better than any thrower across all four divisions. The second best mark of the meet went to Keyarsa Harris (Central, Providence, RI), who threw a five foot personal best and broke 50 feet for the first time to win the Bayha division.
