4/16/15 U.S. High School Hammer List
There was lots of movement in the girl’s national list this week as Olivia Seifert (St. Anthony’s, South Huntington, NY) and Alyssa Wilson (Tri-Valley, Dresden, OH) made their season debuts. Both now sit in the nation’s top five. Seifert, a junior from New York, added nearly 20 feet to her best from last season and now ranks second in the national and Antill also threw a personal best in her first meet of the year.

Although the 3k hammer (girls) and 5k hammer (boys) throw are not normally contested
in the U.S. it is conducted in some meets at the Youth level. Girls 3k performances
of 140’ and boys’ 5k performances of 160’ or more in an officially sanctioned
meet will be included in the performance list providing the athlete is no older than
17 years old through December 31, 2015 (born no earlier than in 1998).
