My Coaching Philosophy
I’ve launched my online coaching academy: The eCademy of Throws! This is a venture I starting to not only be able to reach more athletes at a younger age, but to meet the demand of athletes looking for quality coaching without having to move thousands of miles. Too many of our fine athletes are lost to the real world in the purgatory that is the post collegiate and signed athlete.
Welcome to the eCademy
We live in an increasingly technologically-based world. This technology in turn allows us to make the world a smaller place. So why can’t there be an academy geared around this idea where we could have many people learning, regardless of where they live? Gone are the days of “making due” because you can’t afford to travel or move to live near an adequate coach. I choose to spread the knowledge I have accumulated to the next generation and beyond.
I have technically been coaching for a very long time, but only now beginning my “professional” coaching career. So what kind of coach am I? I think I’m a great coach, but maybe I’m biased. In part what makes me a great coach is all the coaches that have impacted my career along the way. I have learned something from each and every one of them. From them, I have settled into my own style. Call me Coach Kibbabkayjudondarchuk. ????
My Coaching Philosophy
As expected, my basis for program design will be primarily a Bondarchuk approach. But from my years of being an athlete, I will be able to tap into the vast resource of my career and can draw from that in order to improve an individual’s result. In the ring, my approach is a more Bondarchuk inspired style as well. Most seem to only think he’s a hammer coach. But this can’t possibly be further from the truth. His thinking innovated the way these events were coached over 40 years ago. He’s done so much for the sport over such a long period of time, at this point some of it is forgotten. Call it typecast. His concepts are more simple, but not as easy to implement in your own throw. Especially after throwing one way your entire life, I’m a testament to that fact! But it can be done, and that’s what I’m here for!
Professionally speaking, coaching is the best thing I have ever done, and I’m just getting warmed up.
