Entries Released for New Balance Outdoor Nationals

Over 140 hammer throwers will converge on the campus of North Carolina A+T University in Greensboro, North Carolina this weekend as the school hosts this year’s New Balance Outdoor Nationals. As with all events, the hammer throw field will bring together the nation’s best throwers. The hammer action kicks into gear on Saturday with the boy’s hammer throw as teammates and national leaders Bobby Colantonio (Barrington, RI) and Adam Kelly (Barrington, RI) meet again with even more on the line. While some of the west coast throwers will not make the trip, the meet still features the top throwers east of the Mississippi and the first showdown of throwers from the southeast and northeast so far this season.

The girl’s competition will be even deeper. Leading the way will be defending champion Sabrina Gaitan (Sprayberry, Marietta, GA) squaring off against national leader Haley Showalter (Valor Christian, Highlands Ranch, CO). Nine of the top ten throwers in the country will be competing.
