New Balance Nationals Emerging Elite Results

To start of the action at New Balance Nationals, the Emerging Elite competitions took place on Friday and Saturday. The championships division action will conclude on Sunday. The leaders were John Putnam (Massapequa, NY) and Taylor Scaife (Howard, Ellicott City, MD). Putnam threw a personal best of more than ten feet to easily take the win over Michael Coppolino (Cumberland, RI). Scaife has competed sparingly this year, but was also the surprise winner at New Balance Indoor Nationals in March. This time she addded nearly 25 feet to her best for the win in a very close competition with Carly Timpson (Narragansett, RI).
