Sons of Italy Girls Throwing Championships (RI) Results
After a national lead in the boy’s competition on Wednesday, junior Meagan Malloy (Smithfield, Esmond, RI) was the star of the girl’s competition on Thursday. Malloy both the high school and youth competitions with solid throws using both implements. The state champion will also be the top returning throwing in 2016 as is well positioned to defend her title. Young Annika Kelly (Barrington Middle School, RI), the younger sister of national leader Adam Kelly (Barrington, RI) will be entering high school next season and was also just off of her best in winning both developmental divisions.
