NTCA Throws Summit (OH) Results
With US throwing legends like Lance Deal, Jud Logan, Kibwé Johnson, and A.G. Kruger in attendance, some of the top high school throwers in the midwest came together to compete on Sunday at the NTCA Throws Summit and Conference. Last year’s state leader Jake Wickey (Medina, OH) made his season debut in spectacular fashion. His winning throw of 74’6.25″ added more than a foot to his personal best and is the second best in the country this year. Brent Fairbanks (Austintown Fitch, Youngstown, OH) also added more than four feet to his personal best to break 70 feet for the first time. Logan Kuskey (Austintown Fitch, Youngstown, OH) and Jordan Geist (Knoch, Saxonburg, PA) also nearly broke 70 feet in the competition.
The girl’s competition was won by Deija Young (Trinity, Garfield Heights, OH) in a close competition over Cailin Blaire (Hickory, Hermitage, PA) and Jocelen Ruth (Kutztown, PA).
