RI Classic Invitational (RI) Results
National leaders Bobby Colantonio (Barrington, RI) and Courtney Jacobsen (Toll Gate, Warwick, RI) were both in action on Wednesday at the RI Classic Track and Field Invitational. Colantonio was again over 78 feet and easily took the boy’s win, although junior Jared Briere (Woonsocket, RI) added more than two feet to his personal best and approached 70 feet for second place. Jacobsen improved her personal best and national lead by several inches to win a very close competition over Lysah Russell (Classical, Providence, RI) and Monae Cooper (New Rochelle, NY). Russell and Cooper both threw bests and top-5 national performances for second and third place respectively.
