Yale Interscholastic Track Classic (CT) Results

National leader Bobby Colantonio (Barrington, RI) added inches to the meet record and laid down his second best performance of the year at the Yale Interscholastic Track Classic on Friday. While it did not produce a national lead, the girl’s competition featured a close three-way battle. In the end, Meagan Malloy (Smithfield, Esmond, RI) and Lysah Russell (Classical, Providence, RI) had the same distance by the end of the meet. Malloy tacked on nearly three feet to her season’s best while Russell came within inches of the mark she threw last weekend. Malloy won in the end based on her second best throw. Fresh off of a big personal best and win at last weekend’s Dartmouth Relays, Jill Shippee (Shenendehowa, NY) was close behind in third.
