2/4/16 U.S. High School Weight List

The girls provided the highlights in this week’s national performance list, with three movers in the nation’s top four. Junior Jill Shippee (Shenendehowa, NY) launched a huge mark at the Suburban Council Championships in New York on Saturday. Her winning throw of 60’4.75″ added nearly five feet to her best and launched her into the national lead. It also makes her just the fifteenth thrower ever to break 60 feet. But Shippee was not the only big mover. Junior Carrol Pauley (Riverdale, Mount Blanchard, OH) added her second personal best in as many weeks by added four feet to her mark and moving up to third nationally at the Oberlin High School Meet 2. Courtney Jacobsen was just behind with a Rhode Island state-leading mark at the Division Championships that put her into fourth nationally.

The top mover on the boy’s list was Ryan Camp (Archer, Lawrenceville, GA), who became the tenth thrower this year to break 70 feet.
