UW High School Invite (WA) Results

The top throwers from Washington, Oregon, and British Columbia met at the University of Washington on Saturday. In the boy’s competition Tim Beard (Kamiak, Mukilteo, WA) added seven feet to his personal best to win. He led from start to finish, despite a close challenge by Canadian Vikramjit Gondara (WJ Mouat Secondary, Abbotsford, BC) who came within two inches of victory. In third place Hap Frketich (Newberg, OR) threw an Oregon state-leading mark.

The girl’s competition was easily won by Canadian youth hammer throw record holder Camryn Rogers (McMath Secondary, Richmond, BC). The top American was Maddie Rabing (Lakeridge, Lake Oswego, OR) who was just an inch off her best in second place.
