Lysah Russell‘s (Classical, Providence, RI) win at the New England Weight Throw Championships last week moved her up to third in the nation in this week’s national performance rankings. She was one of two movers in the top five, along with Shoshana Isis Trotman (Centerville, OH) who moved up to fifth with an improvement at the Ohio State Championships.
The top boy’s mover this week was Brent Fairbanks (Austintown Fitch, Youngstown, OH). His fourth place finish at the Ohio state meet also move him up to eight in the nation. Bobby Colantonio (Barrington, RI) improved his national lead with the colleiagte 35-pound weight to 64’3.25″. That is the second best indoor mark ever with the implement. Also in action with the unofficial outdoor weight, Isaiah Rogers hit a new national lead over over 81 feet.
