Centralia Hammer Meet 1 (WA) Results

It was an Oregon dominated girl’s hammer competition at the latest Centralia meet. Oregon throwers took the top four spots, led by Maddie Rabing (Lakeridge, Lake Oswego, OR). Rabing improved her season’s best twice, first by winning the girl’s competition and later by also taking second in the open women’s competition. Her best throw of the day, 164’05”, is just seven inches short of her personal best set last season and less than two feet from the Oregon state record. Sophomore Shelby Moran was named girl’s thrower of the meet after placing second and tossing a pair of personal bests. In the boy’s competition sophomore Ian Frost (Mary M. Knight, Elma, WA) was the winner. After starting the season with a personal best last week, he improved another 13 feet on Saturday to over 179 feet.
