New York Relays Results

With a big personal best in the fourth round, Jill Shippee (Shenendehowa, Clifton Park, NY) captured a narrow win over Courtney Jacobsen (Toll Gate, Warwick, RI) at this year’s New York Relays. Shippee was competing in her first outdoor meet of the season and her winning throw of 176’2″ added nearly 40 feet to her best from last year and is the fourth best mark in the US so far in 2016. In the boy’s competition Bobby Colantonio (Barrington, RI) produced another solid result and win, while Matt Slagus (North Pocono, Moscow, PA) added 11 feet to his personal best and nearly broke 200 feet for the firs time to edge out Jared Briere (Woonsocket, RI) by inches.
