2016 World Junior Championships: Women’s Qualification Results

After yesterday’s junior men’s qualification round, the women took center stage today. Americans Sade Olatoye and Joy McArthur put in strong performances, but were unable to move on to Saturday’s final. Sade Olatoye, a freshman at Ohio State University, placed 15th and just little more than a foot away from qualifying. McArthur, in her first year of hammer throwing, was just a few positions back in 18th. Another North American in the competition was Camryn Rogers of Canada, who placed 24th.
