New Balance Nationals Indoor Start Lists
New Balance Indoor Nationals starts up this weekend, and the nations top throwers will all be there. Action starts on Friday with the Emerging Elite competitition and concludes on Sunday with the Championship division. With 136 athletes entered, it will be by far the largest competition of the year. In addition to the number of throwers, the quality is quite high. In both the boy’s and girl’s competitions 13 of the nation’s top 15 throwers are on the start list. Notable entries include the nation’s top weight throwers and, additionally, both of the national leaders in the shot put are entered in the weight throw. The most notable absences are west coast throwers like national freshman class record holder Trey Knight (Ridgefield, WA) and fourth ranked Shelby Moran (Sherwood, OR).
