Washington State Hammer Championships Results

For the 17th straight year, the top hammer throwers in Washington State met at the state high school hammer championship. This year the event took place in Spokane and had 42 competitors. Freshman Trey Knight (Ridgefield, WA) captured the win by more than ten feet and also broke 200 feet for the first time ever. This better his own state freshman record, and also made him just the fourth freshman in the country to ever break 200 feet. The girl’s competition was led by Jordan Fong (Kentlake, Kent, WA), who threw a personal best in a dominating win by more than 25 feet.
