Another week, and another new record for Trey Knight (Ridgefield, WA). After breaking the sophomore class record several times already this year, he extended it out another three feet on Saturday to 83’6.75″. Three of his throws were over 82 feet. In total he has now added more than eight feet to the record that stood at the start of the season and more than 12 feet to his personal best from 2017. It also moves him to fifth all-time among all high schoolers. That mark also extends his national lead and leads three improvements in the top five on this week’s national performance list. On the girl’s list Amanda Howe (Southington, CT) improved at the Yale Interscholastic Track Classic to break into the top five.
