Simple and effective goals
My goal this past year and for this year is really quite simple: everything I am doing is focused on getting better at getting better.
Goals should be as detailed as necessary. More importantly, they must be personal. I want my athletes to live their goals, to make them simple and achievable that will result in behaviors that will move them forward. Usually I encourage athletes to focus on process and make it their process. I try to review progress to my goal daily. That may be a bit obsessive, but I think it is necessary.
