Knight breaks national high school hammer throw record
Defending national champion Trey Knight (Ridgefield, WA) opened his season recently with a national lead. Then, in his second meet, not only extended the national lead three more times, but he took down the national record as well.
Knight already entered the season with the third best performance of all time, a mark of 256’6″ from last season. On Saturday at the Super Throwers Club Meet #4 in Portland, Oregon (Concordia University) his winning throw of 261’7″ added five feet to his best and more than a foot to the national record.
