5/25/23 U.S. High School Hammer Throw List

Ethan Wordell (North Kingstown, RI) added more than ten feet to his personal best to climb into the boy’s national lead on this week’s national performance list and overtake Christian Toro (Lincoln, RI), who also improved. All together, five of the top ten boys posted improvements last week. On the girl’s side sophomore Adelaide Caron (Woonsocket, RI) was the top mover, improving for the second straight week to land in sixth position.

5/18/23 U.S. High School Hammer Throw List

This week’s national performance list featured a new national lead. Skylar Soli (Douglas County, GA) extended her national lead nearly 20 feet with a new personal best. On the boy’s side, senior Kellen Kimes (Hart, MI) made his season debut and immediately jumped into the nation’s top 10 this week, also adding to his Michigan state record from last season.

5/11/23 U.S. High School Hammer Throw List

For the second week in a row, freshman Kim Beard (Kings, Shoreline, WA) was this nation’s top mover. Adding another dozen feet to her best, she climbed up to fourth on this week’s national performance lists. She not only solidified her position as the nation’s top underclassman, she also moved into the top 10 with a new best to lead the improvers on this week’s national performance lists. On the boy’s side, Ryan Johnson (Springboro, OH) was the top improvement, also in fourth position.

5/4/23 U.S. High School Hammer Throw List

A week after her teammate jumped up to third in the nation, freshman Kim Beard (Kings, Shoreline, WA) was this week’s top mover. She not only solidified her position as the nation’s top underclassman, she also moved into the top 10 with a new best to lead the improvers on this week’s national performance lists.

4/27/23 U.S. High School Hammer Throw List

Ethan Wordell (North Kingstown, RI) climbed up several spots to 2nd on this week’s national performance lists. He was one of three improvers amongst the top 10. The girl’s list featured six improvers among the top 10, led by the season debut of Adrianna Coleman (Kings, Shoreline, WA) in third position, and a state leading mark from Jillian Leahy (Lincoln, RI) in fourth.

4/20/23 U.S. High School Hammer Throw List

Three new boys broke 200 feet this week, led by an improvement of more than 20 feet by Parker Kim (Syosset, NY) to place him second on the national performance list. Isabella Piette (Woonsocket, RI) was also the top mover on the girl’s list, climbing in to the top 10.

4/13/23 U.S. High School Hammer Throw List

Ethan Wordell (North Kingstown, RI) improved his US number two mark this past week, while Keith Daigneau (Bishop Hendricken, Warwick, RI) became the third thrower over 200 feet this season. Jillian Leahy (Lincoln, RI) moved up one spot on the girl’s list to fourth position as well.

Final 2023 U.S. High School Weight Throw List

The indoor season is a wrap. Below is the final national weight throw performance lists of the year. Max Herman (Marietta, GA) ended up as the national leader and only thrower over 80 feet, while 11 more boys broke 70 feet. Angela Schykerynec (Orland, CA) was the top girl and only one over 60, with 14 total throwers over the 50 foot barrier.

3/16/23 U.S. High School Weight Throw List

With two national meets taking place over the weekend, all of the nation’s top throwers were in action. On the girl’s list, there were four improvements among the nation’s top five, with Skylar Soli (Douglas County, RI) leading the way. Her runner-up mark at Nike Indoor Nationals bumped her up five spots to second on the nation list. This week’s boy’s list also have seven improvements among the top 10, with Kellen Kimes (Hart, MI) win at New Balance Nationals moving him up to third in the country.
