Jeremiah Nubbe (Rainier, WA) made his season debut with a big personal best on Friday, launching the hammer over 234 feet. Caden Hottman (Hermiston, OR) also broke 200 feet for second place, with Ariel Ammentorp (Union, Camas, WA) winning with girl’s competition with a personal best.

National leader Tarik Robinson-O’Hagan (Woonsocket, RI) added to his best to win the New York Relays over the weekend. Michael Pinckney (HS For Construction, Ozone Park, NY) made a strong season debut for second place as well, while Olivia O’Connor (Hillhouse, New Haven, CT) won the girl’s competition.

Knights of Columbus Relays (RI) Results

Indoor national champion Tarik Robinson-O’Hagan (Woonsocket, RI) started of his outdoor season strong with a win at the Knights of Columbus Relays on Saturday. the win went to Asher Robbins (Barrington, RI), who won by more than eight feet. The senior was 30 feet ahead of the field and just six feet off of his best from last season en route to the win. In the girl’s competition Jillian Leahy (Lincoln, RI) set a personal best to win.

New Balance Nationals Indoors (NY) Results

After a huge performance last week that moved him to 5th all-time and a win at Nike Indoor Nationals on Friday, Tarik Robinson-O´Hagan (Woonsocket, RI) returned with another 80 foot throw to easily win this year’s New Balance Nationals in the weight throw on Saturday. Robinson’O’Hagan led six throwers over 70 feet. Local thrower Michael Pinckney (HS For Construction, Ozone Park, NY) took second, and Gary Moore Jr. (Hillhouse, New Haven, CT) launched a personal best to claim a close third place. In the girl’s competition Kosi Umerah (IMG Academy, Bradenton, FL) throwing a personal best to lead from start to finish. Olivia Campbell (Pittsfield, IL) and Zoe Carter-Konate (MICDS, St. Louis, MO) claimed second and third.

Nike Indoor Nationals (NY) Results

The first of two championship meets started on Friday. Both Nike Indoor Nationals and New Balance Nationals Indoors took place over the weekend in New York. Scheduling allowed the top boys to compete at Nike on Friday and New Balance on Saturday. Unfortunately both girls finals were held on Friday so athletes had to choose one or the other. At the Nike meet Tarik Robinson-O’Hagan (Woonsocket, RI) threw 85 feet in his second straight competition to easily win, with local thrower Michael Pinckney (HS For Construction, Ozone Park, NY) tossing a personal best to also break 80 feet and take second. National leader Giavonna Meeks (Northfield, Denver, CO) claimed the girl’s title over Olivia O’Connor (Hillhouse, New Haven, CT).
