With the next season around the corner, high school seniors have begun to decide where they will continue their athletes pursuits after graduation. The NCAA initial signing period began on November 13th, with many of the top names already making commitments, including top returners Monique Hardy (Webster Thomas, Webster, NY) and Trey Knight (Ridgefield, WA). With the indoor season already underway, many of the top recruits have already made their choice of where they will compete after they graduate next summer. Top returner Samantha Kunza (Timberland, Wentzville, MO) is heading to the University of Alabama, while Jacob Furland (Classical, Providence, RI) leads the way on the boys lists and will be headed to Winthrop University. Hammer Throw College Commitments 2018

With the early National Letter of Intent signing period ending this month, many of the top recruits have made their choice of where they will compete after they graduate next summer. Most of the top boys have not announced their decisions yet, five of the top six returning girls have signed a commitment. Top returner Gianna Rao (Ponaganset, North Scituate, RI) is heading to Penn State University, while top west coast thrower Shelby Moran (Sherwood, OR) will be headed to Arizona State University. With the early National Letter of Intent signing period ending this week, many of the top recruits have made their choice of where they will compete after they graduate next summer. Joy McArthur (Mater Dei, Santa Ana, CA), the top returning girl and second best high school thrower of all time, has elected to stay close to home and attend the University of Southern California. The top returning boy, Michael Feldman (Tottenville, Staten Island, NY), will attend Penn along with his brother. Read more

Nation’s Best Hammer Throwers Choose Colleges

With the early National Letter of Intent signing period taking place in November, many of the top high school athletes have already officially or unofficially announced their college decisions. The next signing period is not until 2016. Top returners Bobby Colantonio (Barrington, RI) and Courtney Jacobsen (Toll Gate, Warwick, RI) are among those that have made their decision, choosing Alabama and Michigan respectively. Read more
