Ocean State Running Meet 2 (RI) Results

State leader Logan Coles (Woonsocket, RI) won the second meet in the Ocean State Running Spring Track & Field Series on Saturday. Just behind him was his teammate Tarik Robinson-O’Hagan (Woonsocket, RI) who added nearly five feet to his personal best. One week after a big season’s best to start the outdoor season Sophia Gallucci (Coventry, RI) had another solid result to easily win the girl’s competition.

Weightarama 2021 (RI) Results

Senior Sarah Ortes (Classical, Providence, RI) and Logan Coles (Woonsocket, RI) were the winners at this year’s Weightarama. Coles continued his nearly undefeated season while Ortes hit a new personal best for the win.

Rhode Island Indoor State Championships Results

John Fay (Bishop Hendricken, Warwick, RI) was the surprise winner at the Rhode Island Indoor State Championships on Saturday. He added more than three feet to his best in the fourth round to take the lead and never looked back, upsetting national leader Logan Coles (Woonsocket, RI), and in the process. State leader Sophia Gallucci (Coventry, RI) led four throwers over 50 feet in the girl’s competition to capture the win.

At Friday’s RITCA Last Chance Meet, athletes from across Rhode Island notched improvements. National leaders Logan Coles (Woonsocket, RI), and Tarik Robinson-O’Hagan (Woonsocket, RI) both improved their personal bests, while state leader Sophia Gallucci (Coventry, RI) also added an inch to her best.

Rhode Island Class Championships Results

Throwers from Rhode Island competed across three classes over the weekend. National leader Logan Coles (Woonsocket, RI), edging his teammate Tarik Robinson-O’Hagan (Woonsocket, RI) and extending his national lead as well. In the girl’s competition, Sophia Gallucci (Coventry, RI) improved her best by more than three feet to win and take over the state lead.

RITCA Mini Meet 7 (RI) Results

In the final meet of the RITCA Mini Meet series Cheyenne Figueroa (Classical, Providence, RI) and Logan Coles (Woonsocket, RI) walked away winners. Figueroa ended the series with a clean sweep of all 7 meets in the series and also continues to lead the nation. The boy’s competition was much closer, as it has been throughout the series, with four boys once again over 200 feet. Read more

RITCA Mini Meet 6 (RI) Results

William Cauley (Barrington, RI) added four feet to his best at the latest edition of the RITCA Mini Meet series this week. The top three boys all were well over 200 feet and all posted personal bests, including a ten foot improvement for Phil Coppolino (Cumberland, RI) and the second time over 200 feet for John Fay (Bishop Hendricken, Warwick, RI). Cheyenne Figueroa (Classical, Providence, RI) once again easily captured the win in the girl’s competition. Read more

RITCA Mini Meet 5 (RI) Results

The latest meet in the RITCA mini meet series took place on Tuesday with Logan Coles (Woonsocket, RI) and Cheyenne Figueroa (Classical, Providence, RI) again taking home the wins. On the boy’s side John Fay (Bishop Hendricken, Warwick, RI) had a big breakthrough in the competition. He added nearly 10 feet to his best to break 200 feet for the first time and place third.

RITCA Outdoor Championship (RI) Results

Taking place under unusual circumstances, seniors Cheyenne Figueroa (Classical, Providence, RI) and William Cauley (Barrington, RI) both won their first state hammer titles last week at the RITCA outdoor championships in Rhode Island. Runner up Phillip Coppolono (Cumberland, RI) also broke 200 feet for the first time ever in the competition and led entering the final round. Despite torrential downpour, three boys again broke 200 feet at the latest RITCA mini meet on Tuesday. This time state leader Logan Coles (Woonsocket, RI) captured the win. On the girl’s side Cheyenne Figueroa (Classical, Providence, RI) continued her win streak with yet another victory. Read more
